Common questions

What slope does gravity roller conveyor need?

About three-eighths of an inch per foot for cardboard cartons, more for light cartons and totes, less for heavy flat loads.

How wide should the conveyor be?

Carton width plus about two inches, with three rollers under the shortest carton. Measure the widest carton across the conveyor, not its length.

How much weight can gravity roller conveyor carry?

It depends on the roller, axle and support spacing. Use the maker's chart for the model.

Can gravity conveyor be used for totes?

Yes, with closer roller centers and a bit more slope. Skate wheel is often better.
