Pallet Support Bars

A beam level with supports

What Pallet Supports Do

Bars that run front to back between the beams and support the pallet. They do not make a broken pallet safe. Loose product needs a wire deck.

Supports dropped into the beam step.

Sizes and Count

Frame depthSupport length
36"36"
42"42"
44"44"
48"48"

Count, placement and rating come from the maker's chart for your pallet and load. Drums and heavy loads need an approved layout.

When to Use Supports Instead of Decking

  • Good pallets, no loose product.
  • Pallets narrower than the frame, like 40" on 48".
  • Drums and containers.
  • Sprinklered levels with solid loads.

Need Supports?

42" and 48" in stock for step beams. Used supports sell for less than half of new.

Common questions

How many pallet supports do I need per pallet?

It depends on the pallet, the load and the bar rating. Use the maker's chart; drums and heavy loads need an approved layout.

Pallet supports or wire decking?

Supports cost much less. Use decks if anything loose goes on the level or the insurer asks.

Will supports fit my beams?

Drop-in supports fit step beams with a matching step. Box and structural beams need clip-on or bolt-on. Send a photo of the beam end.

Do pallet supports add capacity to the beam?

No. The beam pair's rating still sets the limit for the level.
