Permits and Codes in New York
New York State's fire code is based on the International Fire Code, and many towns want a building permit for tall pallet rack and for any mezzanine. In New York City the Department of Buildings and the Fire Department review racking and high-piled storage separately, filings go through a registered design professional, and it takes longer, so we file when you order. Long Island towns and Westchester each have their own building departments and storage height rules. Thresholds vary by town and code edition, so we confirm the rules for your address. We do the drawings, stamp and filing. Engineering and permitting.
